Yet, we find women who use abortion pill, and are satisfied with their decision. Yes, they may do so even if living close to a clinic or able to afford cost of hospital service. Then, why do females get pregnancy ended at home? As strange as the question may seem, there is a bigger picture at the back of the story. Pro-life movement has picked up since many years since the legalization of medicines and surgical method for ceasing pregnancy.

Criminal Activities by Pro-Life Activists

The activists station themselves outside and around clinic that offer services to end pregnancy. Often they swarm the patients who seek the procedure – with pro-life chants and misinform them with data that has no scientific validity. Moreover, some even chase any ambulance that reaches the hospital. In worse cases, it is not unknown that some doctors were assassinated, and these were the ones who were recognized to perform abortions. These activities has filled common mans’ mind with fear, the fear of being rallied against, questions, harassed, threatened or even killed, if they visit a clinic for the regimen.

This is why there is a strict security around abortion clinics these days. Protests are not just on the streets but also at the clinic, which makes seeking any treatment here quite a terrible experience, if the person is easily influenced and threatened by the pro-life campaigns. If the female is in her early pregnancy, the choice to buy abortion pills online is quite appealing, as it gives her complete privacy, and can be done in home. There may be no doctor needed to take the medicines, no anesthesia or surgery. However, in event of emergency, the individual has to visit a hospital for necessary care.

Disregard to Women’s Privacy and Health

Violence meted by pro-lie activists is not something uncommon. Some of them have come down to take extreme steps in keeping with their beliefs. As long as the opinions are put ahead in peaceful manner and at the right place, without harassing people who go to the clinic, the movements seem acceptable. But, coming across patients in shocking and dubious manner is something criminal. The women visiting hospital are called names and labeled as murderers without heeding to the emotional or mental state the person might be in. Why people go to the level of harming a person’s psyche and take their life- is that what a pro-life campaign means? If they were so against ‘killing babies’, some are no different than taking life of doctors. It is hard to make some campaigners understand the necessity of abortion services, and that the same cannot be ever completely banned. Not one of them ever went up to the patient and asked what made her choose pregnancy termination than birthing, or if they were in good health. As dreary as it may seem, the unease between those who support or oppose abortion, may continue, but hoping the scene would not turn murderous than it is already.
